A 45-year-old male patient underwent surgery following a traffic accident three years ago. Subsequently, due to an infection at the surgical site, he underwent another surgery for hardware removal and infection control. He consulted a physician due to severe ankle pain, deformity, and inability to walk.
Pre-operative simulation and planning
By analyzing the contralateral limb, the calcaneus position was determined to prevent limb shortening, and the prosthesis height was calculated.
The Proethesis was designed for the insertion of retrograde intramedullary nail.
The prosthesis was manufactured using 3D printing technology and, following post-processing and sterilization with gamma radiation, it was delivered to the physician.
