Orthopedic & Maxillofacial Products | Custom Implant & Prosthesis | Fanavaran Jarahyar Sharif
Fanavaran Jarahyar Sharif (FJS) is an Iran-based manufacturer of patient-specific
orthopedic and maxillofacial implants, surgical guides, and cages, designed from
each patient’s CT/MRI data and produced using 3D printing (additive manufacturing).
Products range from customized TKA guides and triflange hip prostheses to cranial
and facial contouring implants for maxillofacial reconstruction.
Orthopaedic Products

Custom Pelvic Implants for Bone Tumors
Patient-specific pelvic implants designed to reconstruct the bone defect left after resection of a pelvic bone tumor, matching the exact anatomy lost during oncologic surgery to restore joint function.

Custom Triflange Hip Prosthesis
A patient-specific triflange acetabular implant used in complex hip revision surgery, with three flanges custom-shaped to the remaining pelvic bone to restore hip joint stability after severe bone loss.

Customized Revision TKA Cones
Metaphyseal cones used in revision total knee arthroplasty to fill severe bone loss around the femur and tibia, providing a stable base for the revision implant.

Customized Distal Tibial Cage
A patient-specific cage for filling large bone defects at the distal tibia, commonly used in ankle reconstruction or revision surgery where standard implants cannot match the defect geometry.

Custom Ankle Fusion Cages
Patient-specific titanium cages used in ankle arthrodesis (fusion) surgery to fill bone defects and stabilize the tibiotalar joint. Custom geometry is designed from the patient's imaging to match the exact defect shape.

Custom Shaft Reconstruction Implant
A fully patient-specific version of the shaft reconstruction cage, designed from the patient's own CT scan for cases where standard sizing does not match the defect geometry, such as complex or irregular bone loss in the tibial or femoral shaft.

Mesh Cage Implant
A 3D-printed titanium mesh cage designed to contain and stabilize bone grafts and cement at the defect site, commonly used in nonunion, long bone shaft reconstruction, and trauma or fracture surgery.

Evans Osteotomy Wedge
A custom bone graft substitute wedge used in the Evans osteotomy procedure to correct flatfoot deformity by lengthening the lateral column of the calcaneus. Designed to the patient's exact bone geometry to reduce intraoperative adjustment.

Cotton Osteotomy Wedge
A custom bone wedge for the Cotton osteotomy, used to correct forefoot supination in flatfoot reconstruction by opening a wedge in the medial cuneiform. Patient-matched design supports more predictable correction angles.

ACDF Interbody Cages
Interbody fusion cages used in Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) surgery to restore disc height and support spinal fusion in the cervical spine after disc removal.

PLIF Interbody Cage
Interbody cages for Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (PLIF) procedures, placed between lumbar vertebrae from a posterior approach to restore disc space height and promote spinal fusion.

ALIF interbody Cage
An interbody fusion cage for Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) surgery, placed via an anterior approach to replace the damaged lumbar disc, restore disc height, and support fusion between adjacent vertebrae.

TLIF interbody Cage
An interbody fusion cage for Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) surgery, designed to replace damaged lumbar discs and support fusion between adjacent vertebrae. Engineered teeth on the upper and lower surfaces ensure primary stability and reduce the risk of cage migration.

Shaft Reconstruction Implant (Standard)
A modular, standard-sized 3D-printed titanium cage for reconstructing severe or chronic bone loss in the tibial or femoral shaft (available in 10/20/50/70mm heights), used when conventional internal fixation has failed.

Customized Osteotomy Surgical Guides
3D-printed cutting guides for periarticular knee osteotomy, designed from the patient's imaging to reproduce the pre-planned correction angle accurately during surgery.

Customized TKA Guides
Patient-specific cutting guides for total knee arthroplasty (TKA), 3D-printed from the patient's CT scan to match individual femoral and tibial anatomy. They help surgeons achieve more accurate bone resection and implant alignment compared to standard off-the-shelf instruments.

PreOp Planning Report
A 3D surgical planning report that maps out osteotomy angles, correction values, and implant positioning before surgery, based on the patient's CT imaging — helping surgeons plan the procedure with greater precision.

3D Assessment Report
A pre-operative 3D lower-limb assessment report generated from patient CT scans, measuring deformity, alignment, and joint angles to support diagnosis and surgical decision-making before osteotomy or arthroplasty.
Maxillofacial Products

Customized Partial Mandibular Implant
A patient-specific implant used to reconstruct part of the lower jaw (mandible) after resection due to tumor, trauma, or congenital defect, restoring jaw contour and function.

Customized Cranial Implant
A 3D-printed cranial implant designed to reconstruct skull defects following craniectomy (due to trauma, tumor removal, or decompression surgery), matching the patient's skull curvature precisely.

Customized Subperiosteal Implant
A custom-fit implant placed under the periosteum and over the jawbone for patients with insufficient bone volume for conventional dental implants, providing an alternative foundation for prosthetic teeth.

Customized Facial Contouring Implant
Custom facial implants used to correct facial asymmetry or enhance facial contours (such as cheekbone or jaw angle), designed from the patient's 3D facial scan for a precise anatomical fit.

Customized Orbital Floor Implant
A patient-specific implant used to reconstruct fractures or defects of the orbital floor (eye socket), restoring proper support for the eye and preventing complications such as enophthalmos.

Customized CMF Plate
A patient-specific craniomaxillofacial (CMF) fixation plate designed to match the exact bone contour for internal fixation after facial trauma or reconstructive surgery.

Customized angle and chin implant
Custom implants designed to enhance or correct the jaw angle and chin projection, shaped from the patient's own facial anatomy for a natural, symmetric result.
What is a custom implant or prosthesis and how is it different from standard products?
Unlike standard off-the-shelf products, a custom implant or prosthesis is designed from the patient’s own CT scan and manufactured using 3D printing, resulting in a precise anatomical fit and less need for intraoperative adjustment.
What material are these products made from?
All products are manufactured from Ti6Al4V (Grade 5 medical titanium alloy) using Selective Laser Melting (SLM), a biocompatible process whose porous surface promotes bone ingrowth.
How long does it take to design and deliver a custom product?
From receiving the patient’s CT scan to delivering the final sterilised product, it typically takes 6-8 working weeks. Urgent oncological cases can be expedited to 4 working weeks.
How can I order these products?
Simply send the patient’s DICOM files online. Design and coordination are handled remotely with surgeons across Iran and the Middle East, and the final product is shipped in sterile packaging.
Who can order a custom implant or prosthesis?
Patients can also get in touch directly, but the order is ultimately finalised in coordination with their treating surgeon.
What types of surgery are these products used for?
These products are used in orthopaedic surgery (total knee arthroplasty, osteotomy, spinal fusion, pelvic and limb reconstruction) and maxillofacial surgery (cranial, jaw, and chin reconstruction).
Do these products carry an official certification?
Each device holds a valid, up-to-date manufacturing license issued by Iran’s Ministry of Health Medical Devices Directorate (IFDA).
